Extension gets Under Way

We Start A New Extension

After finishing up at Hampton we move on to Alconbury near Huntingdon to start a new single storey extension and garage conversion this week.  So next week the blog will be back up and running on a weekly basis and you can follow the progress of me and Dane, when Dane’s not on Facebook anyway!

Insulation and plaster boarding

Across the week we insulated between the internal roof timbers with Celotex and then put on a cross layer of Celotex.  We then foil taped all the joints and then set about plaster boarding the vaulted ceiling.  Towards the end of the week we started to fix the metal stud work system in the extension

Extension Roof Goes On

Over the last couple of weeks the brick and block work has all been completed and the roof has gone on.  The roof was a cut roof so it was constructed by me and Dane.  The felt baton and tiles have all gone on, as well as the two electric Velux windows that we fitted.

Steel Lintels Go In
