All went well last week on the kitchen/diner job in Peterborough, so much so that we managed to get all our work done by 10am on the Friday, therefore getting a few hours off to enjoy the sunshine. We only had one minor problem, that of the kitchen lighting electrics. We took the ceiling down, and found lots of lighting cables, some we knew what they were, some we didn’t! With my main electrician on holiday, and my back up electrician on holiday, I had to find a new electrician, very quickly. Fortunately we got a recommendation to try MHJ Electricals of Peterborough. Their service was great, and Matt the electrician came out for 8am the next day to sort out the cables and run the cables for the new lighting circuit. Job sorted.
While Dave skims the kitchen/diner ceiling in Peterborough on the Monday, and Jo starts the floor tiling on the Tuesday, Stu and I have started work on an extension in Ramsey. This week we have some site clearance to carry out, getting rid of all the trees and bushes in the garden, and then we have two existing manholes to relocate on site so they don’t get in the way of the new footings.
Wayne the brickie has found somewhere to park his boat in Spain, and is flying back on August 4th to assist with the footings, foundations and brick work.
